For Sale: 1986 Tolly 26 Sedan

Coming Soon: “Quest” a 1986 26’ Tolly Sedan (the last custom production order) built for Mr. Barret of Charlevoix, Michigan is coming up for sale. The boat was subsequently owned by the Stanard family of Pinckney, Michigan where she was kept in heated storage. My dad purchased the boat from them and will be available as my dad has passed away.

The boat was ordered with a rare, Tollycraft drivetrain configuration equipped with a freshwater cooled 454cid Mercruiser (330hp), effectively swinging a 20” prop. The largest prop ever on a 26′ along with the bullet—proof Mercruiser outdrive provides exhilarating performance. Always Mercruiser maintained and equipped with factory bow plank, mounting 2 complete anchor rides w/windlass and spare props to satisfy fresh water, salt and high elevation lakes. Additionally, Quest has a high—torque Mercruiser 9.9 outboard with autopilot, upgraded electrical plus a backup Walbro factory—flow tested electric fuel delivery system with Racor filtration.

Quest has a full complement of electronics, Floscan, and a host of custom interior upgrades including: microwave, 11,000 btu stove burner for fast cooking, added seating for comfort and top of—the line head components. The interior upholstery is in good condition. The outdrive was just redone including new: hoses, bellows, gear oil, Trilux 3 paint, etc.

The bridge storage canvas needs replacing, the seats on the bridge show age but function perfectly, the cabin door is a bit warped but closes and locks just fine and some trim on the lower part of the bridge needs attention.

Quest is now stored in Ventura, CA on a triple—axle trailer that is ready to go (good tires and brakes).
