Join Us for the 37th Tollyclub Rendezvous: John and Julie Salle

Hi, we’re John and Julie Salle, proud owners of Pier Pressure (1983 Tolly 26) and big fans of the Tollyclub Rendezvous. We’ve been to four Rendezvous so far—three by boat and one by “land yacht” (thanks to an engine issue). And, if we count the Canadian event (shhh, that’s our little secret), that makes five!

We’d love to share why we keep coming back and why you should join us this year.

Why Do We Attend?

For us, the Rendezvous is all about celebrating our love for Tollycraft boats and dreaming about which model might be in our future.

But it’s more than just the boats—it’s the people. Talking Tollys, seeing the pride of ownership, and meeting a great group of down-to-earth boaters who share our passion for these well-made boats and the boating lifestyle—that’s what keeps us coming back.

What Are Our Favorite Events?

Oh, where do we start? We love the laid-back fun of Sip and Chip, the excitement of Bingo, and the creativity of the Dinghy Parade. Last year’s dance was awesome, too!

And while we don’t have a dog, we never miss the Pet Parade—it’s always a highlight. There’s always something new to enjoy, and that’s part of what makes it so special.

What Would We Say to First-Timers?

Come for the boats, but come back for the people. The Rendezvous is more than an event—it’s a community.

Our Advice for First-Timers?

Don’t be shy! Say “hi, may I come aboard?” and visit as many boats as you can. Seeing someone else’s boat is a great way to meet the owners and hear their story. Volunteer to help serve a meal, embrace the theme, and most importantly—have fun!
