Rendezvous Memories – John and Cheryl Tousley (Uncorked)

Welcome to the third Rendezvous Memories by our Tollyclub members. Today’s Rendezvous Memories come from John and Cheryl Tousley (Uncorked, 1978 Tolly 30)

From a Covid purchase to lifelong friends

We joined the club 4 years ago at about this time. It was right in the middle of the Covid Lockdown and we were used to traveling all over. Since that wasn’t an option John suggested we buy a boat and travel in the San Juans for the summer! 

We bought our first Tollycraft a 26′ and joined the club. Our first trip was to Bell Harbor and we loved being there and meeting all the members of the Tollycraft Boating Club. 

Everyone was so nice and helpful teaching us about our boat (we didn’t even know how to turn on the oven). 

We followed it up with the Rendezvous and made lifelong friendships which convinced me boating was a part of our future! 

We bought our second Tolly (Uncorked) two years ago and continue to look forward to more adventures with the club and friends we have met at each meet up we have. 

Attending the rendezvous is super special because there are so many Tolly’s there and always someone experienced to teach us more about our boat either by the seminars they offer or just conversations during dinner and drinks! 

Of course there is lots of laughter along the way! Hope to see you all at the Rendezvous!
